International Cecchetti Mentoring
Guidance for serious dancers, teachers, and examination candidates seeking a deeper understanding of the Cecchetti Method.
Mentorship is not simply about passing examinations. It is about developing thoughtful, musical, and expressive artists who understand the principles that lie at the heart of the Cecchetti Method.
Heidi accepts only a limited number of mentoring candidates each year, allowing every dancer and teacher to receive individual attention, carefully structured guidance, and consistent long-term support.
This is not a series of isolated online classes. It is an ongoing mentoring relationship in which we work progressively through the Cecchetti syllabus, examination requirements, teaching practice, musicality, artistry, and the distinctive principles and qualities of the Method.

How Mentorship Works
Each candidate follows an individual programme based on their level, examination goals, and previous experience. During each session, I work carefully through the relevant syllabus, teaching material, or examination requirements. Candidates are given specific preparation for the following week and are encouraged to bring questions to every session.
Mentoring extends beyond technical correction. Together we explore the movement qualities, musicality, épaulement, line, coordination, dynamics, clarity, and artistry that give the Cecchetti Method its distinctive character.

Optional Music Support
Candidates may also add specialist musical support with composer Adam Zolty. This may include music selection, rhythm and phrasing, communication with accompanists, musical examination requirements, unset work, and original composition where needed.

Intensive Training in Finland
Candidates may arrange short periods of intensive in-person mentoring at Heidi's studio in Laitila, Finland. These personalised programmes are designed for serious dancers, teachers, and examination candidates seeking focused preparation through daily coaching, individual mentoring, and a deeper understanding of the Cecchetti Method.
Every intensive programme is individually planned according to the candidate's goals. Whether preparing for an Advanced examination, a teaching qualification, or the Enrico Cecchetti Final Diploma, each day combines technical refinement with the distinctive principles, movement qualities, musicality, artistry, and teaching philosophy that define the Cecchetti Method. The aim is not simply to prepare for an examination, but to develop a deeper understanding of the method itself.
For candidates travelling from overseas or elsewhere in Finland, limited accommodation may also be available by arrangement. Our home is situated in the peaceful forests of Untamala, just a seven-minute drive from The English Ballet School in Laitila. This offers a calm and inspiring environment in which candidates can immerse themselves fully in their training. Accommodation and intensive mentoring programs are planned individually according to the length and purpose of each visit.
